For thirty years, from 1618 to 1648, much of Europe had gone insane. Those terrible “wars and rumors of wars” made it impossible for people to think of Europe as “civilized.” The horrors made many Christians pessimistic and escapists. There was one man, however, who believed that Europe’s soul could be renewed. He was Bishop John Amos Comenius (1592-1670).
How to Save Europe?
About forty of Comenius’ ninety books were about education. He believed that the church can renew Europe’s soul by educating the next generation. His optimism came from the Scriptures that promised:
“In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:2-4)
This morning (Tuesday, March 4, 2025), five of us zoomed together and resolved to establish a Foundation to equip the global body of Christ to disciple nations by educating them.
We will need your help and God’s grace to create an online Truthpedia & University. This will give away the world’s best school curriculum online for free. It will also train homeschooling parents and Academic Pastors to educate the next generation in partnership with local churches and schools.
On March 5, we will pray for this vision. Then I will circulate the draft proposal, which we will discuss on Wednesday, March 12. The paper will outline the areas in which you can help.
Many Christians think that in order to do God’s will, President Trump, or at least European leaders, must do what President Biden did not do—launch an all-out war against Russia, even if it means WWIII.
Could God be using Putin and Trump to shake up the world, especially apostate Europe? Russia-Ukraine War is likely to force Europe to divert budget from education to nuclear energy and defense. State-controlled Postmodern education is Europe’s source of darkness. Once it becomes expensive, a revived and reformed Church, harnessing available technology, could offer a better and cheaper education to shape the future.
The Biden administration offered arms deals to Ukraine. President Trump is offering trade deals. Could the Church offer a Truth-deal to Ukraine and Russia? Nations will beat their swords into plowshares if they become disciples of the Prince of Peace. Please join us in God’s mission.
